34 anni indimenticabili
Un viaggio che dura da 34 anni, un’avventura indimenticabile. Samurai è stato e sarà molto di più, e chi ha avuto la fortuna di concepirlo, vederlo nascere e poi crescere, destinato a raggiungere grandi traguardi, non può che andarne fiero. Del resto i praticanti marziali oltre 1.200.000 certificati dall’inserto sul quotidiano “Il sole 24 ore” testimoniano non solo l’indiscussa leadership nel contesto delle riviste settoriali ma anche un veicolo trainante per le attività culturali e agonistiche.
Insomma Samurai se fosse stato una squadra di calcio, avrebbe sicuramente vinto lo scudetto e Champions league; se fosse stato un film avrebbe conquistato l’Oscar. Ma è solo una rivista e i numeri valgono più di qualsiasi trofeo, perché testimoniano sia la bontà del lavoro svolto che il gradimento dei lettori. Ora si punta a alla tecnologia ma i lettori sanno che Samurai resterà sempre e comunque un amico fedele. E i veri amici, si sa, non tradiscono mai.
Come in tutte le novità, l’inserimento di un DVD (personaggi, maestri, grandi eventi) per la prima volta su Samurai mese di novembre costituirà un banco di prova. E, come tutte le prove sarete Voi lettori a gratificarci se il risultato è conforme alle vostre aspettative.
Un DVD ha dei costi che siamo riusciti a contenere in un prezzo edicola di euro 7,90 anziché 6 di ogni mese. Speriamo che lo sforzo editoriale fatto in pull tra Samurai e International Kung Fu Magazine sia un primo concreto passo verso un futuro più tecnologico. Come diceva Mark Twain: “tra 20 anni non ci ricorderemo delle cose fatte; ma ci ricorderemo delle cose non fatte”.

34 UFORGETTEBLE YEARS
A journey that has been lasting for 34 years, a memorable adventure. Samurai has been and will be more than this, and who was lucky enough to conceive it, to know it since the day it was born and to see it growing, destined to reach great targets, can just be proud of it. Italian martial trainees are more than 1.200.00 according to the newspaper “Il Sole 24 ore” and they testify not only the undisputed leadership within the sectorial magazines but also a leading vehicle for the cultural and competitive activities.
In other words if Samurai had been a soccer team, it would have certainly won the shield and the champions league; if it had been a movie it would have won the Oscar. But Samurai is just a magazine and the numbers count more than any trophy, because they testify the good work as well as the readers’ acceptance. Now you aim to the technology, but readers know that Samurai will be always a staunch friend. And true friends, people know, never betray you.
As all changes, also the insertion of a DVD (personages, masters, great events) for the first time on Samurai, November issue will be a test-bed. And, as all the tests, you, the readers, will be the ones who will gratify us if the result suit our expectations.
A DVD has some costs that we could control fixing a price of euros 7,90 instead of the usual 6,00 euros. We hope that the editorial effort made together by Samurai and International Kung Fu Magazine is a concrete step towards the more technological future. Mark Twain did say: “ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do”.
And that’s why we are trying.
